As Rod Blagojevich’s Illinois impeachment trial reaches for its final crescendo, our Twitterstorians looked back into the record books, er… database, to find these lost factual occurrences…

Our first comes from #1 US President George Washington, who must have received a vision of the future.  Who knew in 1792 that he’d be so right on the money?

@Martha For reasons unkown to myself, I will enact legislation declaring today Blago Impeachment Day for all time.
