Submit Your Own
Would you like to make a contribution to historical scholarship? There are two ways to become a potential contributor. Send the Twitter Historian an email (historian [at] historicaltweets *dot* com) with your historical tweet discovery or, for those of you with design skills, follow the directions below.
- Download the Photoshop template (zip file, 5Mb).
- Extract and Open the Photoshop file.
- Add text (remember to change the name, day/time, and message).
- Add images (twitterer icon and background).
- Change the colors of the text and bottom bar to match.
- Save as a JPEG (75% quality preferred).
- Email it to us!
Make sure to give us the link to your blog, site, or high school history teacher’s home page.
Legal information
We wish there was a site called Legal Tweets that could shorten language like this to 140 characters… but there isn’t, so here’s the rub:
We reserve the right to publish your submissions at our own discretion. We also reserve the right to use and modify submissions as standard procedure. When you e-mail us, you are granting us the right to a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, fully sub-licensable, exclusive right to use, reproduce, modify, translate, adapt, publish, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, display, and delete such content in other works in any form, media or technology now known or hereafter developed. You represent and warrant that you have all of these rights to grant to us and that no other rights from any third party will be necessary.
